The answer to this question is yes, although we have had to change the way we take your instructions, so as to comply with the Government guidelines regarding social distancing.
The usual procedure for making a Will is that you would make an appointment to call into the office to give us your instructions and we would then send you a draft for approval. Once you had confirmed that you are happy with the draft we would make another appointment for you to call into the office so you could sign the document and we would witness your signature.
Our new procedure is that when you contact us you will be offered a telephone appointment rather than a face-to-face appointment, and we will take your instructions over the telephone. Once we have a clear understanding of your instructions we will draft Wills and send them to you by email, or by post if that is your preference. Once you have received the draft you will need to let us know of any amendments that need to be made.
Once you are happy with your Will we will contact you with instructions for getting the Will signed and witnessed.
We have used this amended process a number of times already since the social distancing rules have been in place and we have found it to be very successful.
If you would like to arrange a telephone appointment to discuss making a Will or if you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact us on 01736 362362 or at enquiries@cvc-solicitors.co.uk. We look forward to hearing from you.
