We are pleased and proud to announce that Sarah Adkin’s membership of STEP was upgraded to ‘Technician’ on the 13th December 2016.
Sarah has been an Affiliate member of STEP for the past two years. Affiliate members are practitioners who have been approved based on prior learning and experience, or have obtained 60 Entry Level credits under STEP’s Qualifications and Membership Framework.
Sarah has enrolled on the final course of the diploma with a view to sitting the exam in November 2017.
What STEP members do?
STEP members spend their professional lives working with families and tackling real problems. They provide a range of services from the preparation of Wills to assisting the executors or administrators in the administration of an estate.
How does STEP ensure its members are best qualified to represent their clients’ interests?
STEP’s primary focus is on professional development. They offer a number of formal qualifications ranging from entry-level programmes to advanced certificates and diplomas. These formal qualifications are supplemented by resources designed to help members maintain and develop their skills and knowledge so that they can best serve their clients.
Members are expected to abide by STEP’s Professional Code of Conduct, which sets out the key ethical and professional standards a member should uphold. In England & Wales, STEP members who draft wills are also bound by STEP’s Will Code
